Learned my lesson on this product...

I bought this at what I though was a great deal at HH Gregg (now out of business). It had the bottom freezer I always wanted and the double doors seems nice. Well those doors are always wet and fighting mold isn't something anyone wants to do near their food. But the worst part (I thought) was the freezer over-icing and draining onto the floor every few days after having it over a year. Got to be that I would keep a towel on the floor nearby to wipe up the spill. But then this week the freezer seemed to be acting fine, and the fridge won't cool. For what I paid, I shouldn't have to be buying a new fridge (which I did, sans the French doors, and with a traditional top freezer... plus a 5 year maintenance plan). Whirlpool should be ashamed of labeling this one Gold.

Mixed feelings

I love the look of this refrigerator and the flexibility of the storage space in the French door top section - BUT the freezer section has some issues. Our ice maker has only worked sporadically since we got it, and frequently water drips/pools into the bottom of the ice drawer freezing everything together. The bigger problem though, is that there is leaking into the bottom of the freezer compartment which then freezes into a sheet of ice which then interferes with the seal on the door until it melts all over the kitchen floor. We have just had this (known)issue addressed by a service technician - we'll see how long that lasts.

Beautiful Fridge

I have had this refrigerator for 5 years. We just had to replace the control panel. It is a beautiful functional refrigerator, but if I had it to do over again I would get one with water in the door.

Failed in 4 years

The unit failed after 4 years. Main circuit board had to be replaced along with a couple of other parts. Cost: $500. This shows that the product is of low quality and not reliable. My previous refrigerator lasted 20 years without a problem. Only replaced it because we remodeled the kitchen.

Recommend this fridge for 'retro' tight fits.

Fridge works well. Noise level is minimal. Bottom freezer takes up more space than our old Whirlpool, thus restricting fridge storage. So far so good. Would recommend this fridge.

I love this refrigerator!

This refrigerator is quiet, has large door shelves for bigger containers such as cartons of milk, the doors open and close easily and the roll out freezer on the bottom is something we've always wanted and love. We can't see why anyone would be disappointed with this refrigerator and we recommend it to anyone looking for this style of refrigerator. We've had it for less than a year but so far we're very satisfied.
