Our Rich History
The Store we now know as Waast Appliance Company was established in 1930 by John Waadt Sr as Waadt Electric Company, known throughout the area as one of the first stores to sell appliances. Located on Vermont Ave, John Waadt Sr created a successful business that was customer focused.
During the 1950s, John Waadt Jr bought the store and moved to its location in the San Fernanda Valley. Accompanying the move was a name change, officially changing the store's name to Waadt Appliance Company.
All these years later, the Waadt Family still runs and operates Waadt Appliance. Owned and operated today by John Jr.'s daughter Debbie. She maintains the high standards that started all those years ago. Stop in today and learn why we have been here all these years!
